Have you ever found yourself in the right place at the right time? Well that was the case this past Saturday. I still go to our youth ministry program called Youth Street Live, which is from 5:30 to 10:00 pm on Saturday nights. It's a program for youth 12 to 17 years old but on this particular night one of the Mom's came to hang out as well.
It turns out that she just needed someone to listen. She is a single Mom who discovered that her son was unintentionally being "neglected." She was studying at the local University and felt that she needed to stop going so that she could better take care of her son. I was able to offer a listening ear and encouraging words. I even had the opportunity to pray for her!
I love how connected we are as the body of Christ and how we really do need each other. I also love how powerful prayer is and how comforting it can be to a person.
