Ship DTS!?!

Two years ago, when I was about to graduate from my Discipleship Training School (DTS) I found out that YWAM Australia was looking into pioneering a ship ministry. It was when I first found out about this "ship" that I had a sense in my heart that I should be a part of it in some way. Well here I am... about to embark on something that was first planted in my heart two years ago. I am helping lead our first ever DTS on board our medical ship. I am so blessed to have this privilege. I am also really excited for this adventure! This week I've been living onboard the ship and I can't believe I get to be a part of something so amazing!

This medical ship is about four weeks away from sailing to the nation of Papua New Guinea where we plan to provide free health care to the people there. I not only get to be a part of seeing the ship provide free health care to people who desperately need it but I also get to come along side four students (who are on the Ship DTS) and champion them in what God has called them to do!

Something that God has been speaking to me about lately is to lay down my life for my friends. To be quite honest, at first I was like no I don't want to do that. Then I realized how selfish that was. It's confronting to be challenged to put myself aside but I really sense that it's what I need to do. It's not easy to go after all that God has for us. I can say yes God I desire all you have for me... but am I really willing to do whatever it takes?!? I really pray so!
