Things have been good for me but challenging at the same time. Accounts is a big job to learn and some days I find myself overwhelmed because there are so many things I don’t understand or know how to do.
I’ve found that life is hard sometimes and there are different challenges and trials that come our way; but I choose to believe that the Lord can use it for good! I’m learning that I don’t have to have all the answers and it’s ok to ask questions! Which I find is symbolic to our faith—we don’t always have to have all the answers and God wants us to come to Him and ask questions.
Each day, to break it down even more, each moment we have a choice to make. Our attitude; we can allow ourselves to be overwhelmed by circumstances or situations or we can recognize that God is bigger. Don’t let weariness stop you from doing what the Lord wants to do.
This past week I’ve been reminded that my attitude should be the same as that of Jesus Christ (Philippians 2:5) and I need to deliberately seek God and His strength for each day; because I am hopeless without Him! It was also a good reminder that I’m not here to please men or to earn approval. I am here to serve the Lord; “serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men” (Ephesians 6:7).
It actually takes some pressure off when I remember that I’m not here for men. When I center my heart and mind on the fact that I am here for the Lord, I find peace because I know that He doesn’t expect me to be perfect and I can rely on His strength and wisdom!
“I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.” Philippians 3:10-11
May you be encouraged to keep running your race with perseverance, keeping your eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter!
