The Unexpected...

While in PNG with the DTS team we were traveling from one village to the next sharing, teaching, preaching, and loving people. On one particular occasion we were traveling in a big truck. Well it had been raining a lot and the road was a muddy incline. Needless to say the truck got stuck. We tried several different ways to get unstuck but the truck wouldn't budge. So I decided to pray, I was like God we must be here for a reason, so what reason is that.... Not too long after that a man appeared on the side of the road. He was yelling because the guys had just chopped down one of his trees to put under the truck.

Immediately I had a prompting in my spirit and I knew he was the one I was suppose to talk to. My translator tried to tell me not to talk to the man because he was a "grumpy old man." Which for me just made it a challenge. When I first tried to talk to him, he was yelling and told me I should give him money. Once he calmed down a bit I was able to tell him through the translator that God loved him and hadn't forgotten about him. I told him that the Lord cared about him deeply and asked him if I could pray for him. After having the opportunity to pray for him, his appearance changed. He had a huge smile on his face. He then invited us to come stay at his house if we didn't get the truck "unstuck," but not too long after that the truck made it to the top of the incline!
