Neighbor to Neighbor

A few weeks ago, one of the coolest things happened. A local church Pastor came up with a brilliant idea! At the beginning of this year we had a cyclone come through which brought a lot of people together to help each other clean up the after math. Well this Pastor wondered why it had to take a disaster to bring people together to help one another. So he got the local city council to help by finding out who in our city needed help around their house. Well there were a couple hundred responses. So the different churches around Townsville came together to help people in need. People from different denominations coming together for a common purpose... to love people!

The group I was in got to help a couple different elderly couples do yard work and clean the inside of their house. It was such a beautiful thing to see the body of Christ come together and help those in need!
