Study of Romans

WOW! What a week it's been. We studied the book of Romans this week and I learned soooo much! I guess if I had to pick one thing to share with you, then it would be this... God loves me!

He really, truly, genuinely, no strings attached, loves me! I did not earn God's love, nor do I need to earn God's love. I was laying dead in sin, but God chose to love me, before the foundation of the world.

The big thing for me this week is that I do not have to earn God's love, he simply loves me, just the way that I am. I don't have to live under the law of regulations or do good deeds. God created the law to show us that he requires perfection, but we're never going to measure up. We need a Savior! Funny enough, I think I use to believe that God would stop loving me if I fail short or didn't measure up, but the cool thing is, he already knew I wasn't going to measure up and that's when he said, Keevy this is how much I love you, that even though you are deserving of my wrath, even though you fall short of perfection, I'm going to send my Son Jesus to take your wrath.

WOW! I am loved and I didn't have to earn it. I really don't get why he chose to love us, but I'm really glad he did!
